We are looking for a flexible, hard-working team player to join our growing and successful valuation team, based in either our Staffordshire or Shropshire office. You will be a self-starter, confident, adaptable and able to work independently. Attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure and excellent communication and language skills, both written and verbal, are vital. You will need to have detailed, up to date knowledge of RICS rules and regulation and best valuation practices. A driving licence and own vehicle are essential.

Key responsibilities:

This role will include, but is not limited to:

• Secured lending valuations and homebuyers surveys. (Valuations will vary between residential, commercial, agricultural and mixed use properties throughout the region.)

Forge Property Consultants is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Property Agent, ideally MRICS qualified and with a proven track record in securing instructions and sales negotiation to lead and expand our commercial agency portfolio across Shropshire and North Wales. This is an important and strategic role requiring a proactive individual to help us grow this area of our business

The successful applicant will work closely with the Directors and other members of the team where they have agricultural and rural clients undertaking diversification or development schemes. The successful candidate can be based between our Wrexham and Oswestry offices and will operate primarily within a 20-mile radius of these locations.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Agency & Disposals: Manage the sale and letting of various property types, mostly commercial assets, including industrial units, retail spaces, offices, and land.
• Business Development: Proactively network and identify new business opportunities to grow the firm’s commercial market share.
• Win Instructions: give prospective clients confidence that Forge Property Consultants are best placed to help with their requirements.
• Negotiation: Lead negotiations from initial enquiry through to the exchange of contracts or completion of leases.
• Marketing: Develop and execute creative marketing strategies for high-profile commercial instructions.
• Strategic Planning: Assist clients with long-term asset management and property portfolio strategy.

2. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of dedicated experience in commercial property agency is preferred.
• Qualifications: MRICS (Chartered Surveyor) status is highly preferred; however, non-chartered candidates with an exceptional track record will be considered.
• Local Expertise: A deep understanding of the local economic landscape in Shropshire and North Wales is beneficial.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in agency and property management software, valuation tools, and digital marketing platforms.
• Attributes: Highly organised, excellent verbal and written communicator, and a self-starter who thrives in a supported autonomous environment.
