Before joining Forge, Dave worked at a large national firm as well as a local authority. He found this diverse experience to be invaluable, enabling Forge Property Consultants to offer an even wider range of services. Dave started his working life as a carpenter, moving on to a site manager role. This led him to becoming a Building Surveyor and completing a RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying.

One particularly memorable project for Dave was a regeneration scheme of private housing being awarded monies that were grant funded to improve poorly insulated homes.

Dave says that the diversity of his role is the most enjoyable part as no two days are the same. The nature of the role requires a percentage of time spent out and about, meeting people, getting to see places that otherwise would not be possible, as well as time spent in the office.

When he’s not working Dave enjoys playing squash, meeting friends for a pint at the end of the week and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren, and his wife of course!
