Flurry of planning approvals for Forge clients
16/03/20We have successfully secured a trio of planning approvals for clients seeking extensions to their homes or business premises in Staffordshire and Shropshire.
Client Forestry Transport Maintenance, which makes specialist forestry equipment, needed additional storage for its fast-growing business, based on the old A5 in Nescliffe, between Shrewsbury and Oswestry. We have secured planning consent for a rear extension to one of its commercial buildings.
In Walton Hurst in Eccleshall, Staffordshire, at Walton Hurst Cottages, planning approval has been granted for a part-demolition/ conversion and extension of two two-bedroom cottages to create a four bedroom detached house, with a two car timber-framed car port. Approval has also been granted for the provision of new access, with the two existing accesses to be closed off.
Also in Staffordshire, on Tean Road in the village of Cheadle, approval has been granted for a side first floor extension over an existing garage to provide a fourth bedroom, plus balcony to the rear.
Director Charles Lawson, says, “We work closely with planning authorities to ensure we adopt the best approach, most likely to achieve a positive result for our clients. The Cheadle property was a typical example of where a number of issues had to be carefully negotiated, including sensitivity regarding possible overlooking of neighbour’s home. The design of the extension has also ensured that the front wall is set back from the main wall of the house, so that the extension appears subservient to the main house.”
Our planning service is part of a complete package we can offer clients when it comes to development and diversification. Forge offers a free initial consultation to assess potential for development and diversification and can then can guide clients through the whole process, from feasibility, valuation and planning to managing the construction and marketing.
